      Hello everyone

I've installed the latest version of VICE - downloaded it directly from the VICE website tonight. Version GTK3Vice-3.8-win64. I recently purchased a Competition Pro Extra joystick from Speedlink - red and black retro looking joystick, low budget. The joystick works because there is a games bundle from the companies website that you can download and play and I've done this.

However, when I go into Vice, I click on Joysticks in the bottom leftish hand corner, then I select Configure Joysticks and at this point you should be able to click on the drop down for Joystick #1 or Joystick #2 and select your controller. I know this because I watched a youtube video from Just Jamie who shows exactly this.

But when I click on the drop downs, my controller doesn't appear. I can't imagine that the joystick is only for the 25 game bundle. It is a straightforward usb joystick.

Can anyone help me? I'll make a small donation to the site if so or buy someone a coffee....or three?! Thanks

This is a RetroPie support forum, not a general emulation forum - why are you posting here instead of trying the Vice's support forum ?
