      Hi,

Sorry, but I have been trying unsuccessfully to get X-Arcade dual joysticks (TankStick) to work with RetroPie MAME.

The X-Arcade TankStick does work but player #1 joystick does not work because the X-Arcade is registered as a keyboard and the TankStick's [NumLock] is not enabled by default?

Anyone know how to enable the X-Arcade TankStick's [NumLock] under RetroPie?
      Thanks!

      Jesse

There are a few topics for this already, you need to program and map your buttons properly.

          Hi,

There is no way to make RetroPie MAME to work with X-Arcade TankStick default button mappings?

My concern is that if I do a custom mapping for the X-Arcade TankStick then I would have to reconfigure every MAME game with the new control button mappings? (or is there a global button mapping option in MAME? How would I access that?)

Sorry for all the questions, I try to make X-Arcade TankStick work with RetroPie's MAME for a friend.
          Thanks!

          Jesse

your other option is to upgrade the stick's board to the newest revision. x-arcade.com has an upgrade board (in the x-adapters section, the usb upgrade) that no longer requires the numlock to work (uses the arrow keys instead of the numberpad keys). I had to upgrade my solo stick (oldest one didn't support usb) and that was one of the new features that I also got with it. It also doesn't require you to press the program button twice to enable a custom codeset (another nice feature)
