Hello. I am trying to install Retropie on the latest version 64x Raspberry Pi OS. I can install from the precompiled binary file on regular Retropie or 32x Raspberry Pi OS. But on 64x OS I have to compile from source and it takes too long.
I am using rpi 4 4gb
latest version raspberry pi OS 64x(sorry for my english.because english is not my native language)

@KaraB there are no officially released pre built binaries for bookworm yet. With some changes I have coming soon there will be.

@BuZz .I see. So how do I make retropie.setup install an old precompiled binary instead of bookworm? That is, I want to install the latest supported packages instead of bookworm

I wanted to run Retropie on raspbian and I encountered this: currently retropie does not support the latest raspbian version. so I had to compile from source. I need to install precompiled packages and my question is: how can I install precompiled packages for an older version (for example the packages for jessie) on the latest version, bookworm? Because retropie is not supported on the latest version (bookworm).

@KaraB don't duplicate topics, I've merged both of your topics.
To answer to your question - what you want it's neither possible nor correct. Binaries compiled for an older/different distro are not available to be installed via RetroPie-Setup as normal binaries.
If you want to use pre-compiled packages, then either use the Buster RetroPie installation image that's available right now or use Bullseye, for which binaries are available, though I think they could be 32bit only.
