Cannot configure second usb controller for mame
-
Hello,
I have recently started discovering Mame emulation. I have followed
My problem is that I am unable to configure a second usb controller. When I am setting up the right keys (in Input (general)) it simply does not recognize my second usb controller. I hit enter, press the key on the second controller but it does not register.
My second controller is configured and works perfectly on all the other emulators I am using on the Retropie, including Final Burn Alpha. I have not configured/changed anything in retroarch but from what I understand it is not linked to Mame emulation.
I have a Raspberry Pi 2 (unsure of which version) and use 2 iBuffalo usb controllers (SNES design). My Retropie was preloaded and I use a usb flash drive to put files on it. I do not really know how to modify settings using lines of code and navigating in folders other than from the main Emulation Station interface and I find some Retropie guides intimidating because of I my lack of knowledge in that field.
I hope someone here can help me set up my second usb controller. I am using mame4all.
Thank you.

Any help or information would be appreciated.
Thank you.

Have you tried lr-mame2003? - which is a libretro emulator so the second controller should work out of the box. Not tested configuring a second controller with the standalone mame4all.
