I don't have my pi with me at the moment, could someone check if it may be possible to set a series of still pictures to be a custom splashscreen (or slideshow) where the pics will cycle through before bringing up emulationstation? Not sure if I remembered right that it was in setup menu or I had just dreamt it all up.

Edit: Ahh nevermind, forgot to check the good old wiki:

      • Manually Edit Splashscreen List: You can edit the splashscreen.list manually to point to multiple images to be played as a slideshow (you'll use tab to get out of edit mode)

it is supported - you can put a list of pictures (one on each line) in /etc/splashscreen.list - it will then cycle through them with a delay of 20 seconds/number of pics between each one. So two pics would display for 10 seconds each. If you wanted to change this you would need to customise /etc/init.d/asplashscreen

@BuZz Thanks! Good to know re: delay of 20 secs/pics. Just the thing for something I had in mind. Can't wait to go tweak this!
