Every time I attempt to launch Streets of Rage Remake, it sits on a black screen and then boots me back into emulationstation. I am on a pi3b, premade version of retropie 4.8. through raspberry pi imager
My runcommand.log has the same error every time

      Executing (via xinit): /opt/retropie/ports/sorr/sorr.sh ./SorR.dat

      ~/RetroPie/roms/ports/sorr ~
      ./SorR.dat: doesn't exist or isn't version 7 DCB compatible
      ~
xinit: connection to X server lost

waiting for X server to shut down (II)
Server terminated successfully (0). Closing log file.

All the files are where they are supposed to be according to every guide I have found. I have tried getting 3 different versions of the game, putting all the files in /opt/retropie/ports/sorr and /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/sorr and it produces the same result.

What kind of pre-made image ? We don't support 3rd party images and SoRR is not a port included in RetroPie.

@mitu I just used raspberry pi imager, there was a retropie option built in. I used RetroPie-Extra's sorr.sh file as an experimental package

The game data sorr.dat is not provided with the install, you have to source that externally. Have you done so?

Nvm re-read your first post, says you do have the game.

Then please report this in the RP extra topic here.

Please use the Retropie-Extra topic for modules supported by that repository. Thank you.
