Hello everyone. My setup is running using the following specifications:
Pi Model or other hardware: 4B+

      Power Supply used: Official USB-C Power Supply AC 100-240V 50/50Hz input/DC 5.1V
3A output

      RetroPie Version Used: 4.8.9

Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website (retropie-buster-4.8-rpi4_400.img.gz)

USB Devices connected: TTX Wireless Gaming Reciever, HP 230 Wireless Keyboard dongle, and HP Wireless Mouse (Z3700)

Controller used: Xbox 360

Error messages received: line 1329: 17079 Segmentation fault
      Verbose log:
      Parameters:
      Executing: /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-bennugd/bennugd_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/bennugd/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/bennugd/sorrv2/SorMaker.dat" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg
      /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh: line 1329: 17079 Segmentation fault /opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-bennugd/bennugd_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/bennugd/retroarch.cfg "/home/pi/RetroPie/roms/bennugd/sorrv2/SorMaker.dat" --appendconfig /dev/shm/retroarch.cfg

Guide used: After installing from binary, I referred to the package help section under the lr-bennugd emulator in the experimental section.

      Files: SorMaker.dat
      Emulator: lr-bennugd
How to replicate problem: SorR.sh will allow you to load the main game. When you run the SorMaker.sh file it seems to load up the emulator, but a few seconds later it crashes back into the bennugd menu of games.

@mitu Do you know if there is a fix (perhaps a change in the command line) for the segmentation fault? I enjoy playing the main game, but I would like to try some of the stages that were recreated by developers using the Streets of Rage Maker tool. Thanks for your assistance.

I removed the binary and tried the source port version, but unfortunately it yielded the same result. If any other software packs are supported by lr-bennugd, please let me know. Thank you.

I am not sure if this might be a solution, so I want to ask @mitu or anyone who has experience fixing such issues. I found it after doing a Google search on segmentation fault+Streets of Rage Remake+RetroPie:

          https://sorr.forumotion.net/t820-gnu-linux-quick-fix-for-streets-of-rage-remake

It does mention something about x86_64-linux-gnu, so I'm assuming some of the commands might have to be altered to work with the RetroPie. I'm probably off with that assumption, so maybe someone that knows how to make these adjustments can give it a try.

          Thanks for your input.

Sorry, but there's nothing I can do to help at the moment. If the libretro core does not support the game, then it's nothing Retropie can solve.

RetroPie installs the core from source, by compiling it, and no special modifications have been added to the sources in order make it work with RetroPie. Depending on the platform you're using (a PC or an ARM SBC), the resulting core will work on it.

@mitu I'll go to the Streets of Rage Remake and the BennuGD forum and ask if they can help sort this out. I might have to write to the developers in Spanish at BennuGD, but I'm thinking that it might give them a heads up on what's going on with the SorRMaker.dat file. Thanks for letting me know about what goes on when the core is created and your response on this issue. I'll keep you posted if any of them gives some feedback.
