      Hello all!
      I am running: RETROPIE > retropie-buster-4.8-rpi4_400.img.gz
I am running: MAME > MAME 0.37b5 emulator

I am having a bit of trouble trying to find the samples folder in mame2000 because it does not exist in the ~$ RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro folder
I did although found it in the ~$ RetroPie/BIOS/mame2000/samples but when I put them in there they are not recognized for some reason. I even made a directory in ~$ RetroPie/roms/mame-libretro/samples but this didn't work either. Please help... cuz Galaga sucks without the ship explosion sound... lol
      Thank you
      Brian

@thirdeyedynamo The real question here is why are you using something as outdated, buggy, and poorly documented as mame2000 on a pi4.
        I'd recommend reading https://docs.libretro.com/guides/arcade-getting-started/

@barbudreadmon Because that is the only emulator I could get my roms working after I recompiled my roms using CLR-MamePro. Ill try again...
