Fresh 4.0.2 install, 8 systems. gba, gbc, mastersystem, megadrive, neogeo, nes, pcengine, snes. After installing roms they launch as should and everything is working. However after installing Steven Selph's Scraper, no roms launch, error message below. Same error message if I only install the scraper and try to launch and after scraping all games. Same issue with v4.0. v3.8.1 working.

I don't know why it happens after use sselph scraper, but based on the error message it seems that your runcommand.sh has some problem.
I would suggest you to update your runcommand:

        1. go to RetroPie-Setup
        2. Update RetroPie-Setup script
        3. Manage Packages -> Manage Core Packages -> runcommand -> Install/Update from binary

and then try to launch your game again.
