Thanks! I'll try those out later today. Are you still testing out which systems work through advmess? Is so, what have you found so far? Sometime this coming week I might make an Astrocade theme addition for Carbon.

@mediamogul i would love a pixeled astrocade theme. 😊 So i know that atari 7800, astrocade and channel f work. Apple ii systems do not. I am going to be trying several more systems to see what will work. I probably wont try out systems that work good in a libretro core

I don't blame you. Colecovision might be worth a try. As much as I love CoolCV, it's closed source and always a twist of fate away from being non-functional.

@mediamogul coleco does not work. It acts like there is no cart in the system. I

When I did my initial tests a while ago with AdvMESS colecovision worked for me:

@herb_fargus @mediamogul i figured the coleco out. In the emulators.cfg it needs to be %BASENAME%.rom. However princess quest does not work on it.

@mediamogul there are some differences in the new advmess. Set the magnify to 4 instead of 3 as i stated previously

@mediamogul intellivision works with %ROM% several homebrews that use intellivision trickery that isnt emulated by mess lock up the system. Intellivoice and ECS do not work on advmess. They are supposed to work with intv -cart voice -cart 2 and intv -cart ecs -cart2 and i have all of the many bios that mess uses for intellivision.

That's a shame. Half the novelty of 'B-17 Bomber' is that hilarious digital southern accent. When setting up jzintv, I remember being very pleased to see that it had support for the five supported games. It always reminds me of the movie 'War Games' to hear it in action.

@mediamogul there are quite a few games with intellivoice support. A couple unreleased/ prototype games like space c**t and some homebrew games like missile domination and same game & robots.

@AlexMurphy it was a mattel programmers inside joke. It is astrosmash with an adult twist. There was also a homebrew release of it with some improvements which make it possibly better than astrosmash.

The adult retro games are bizarre. Subject matter aside, my favorite is 'Custer's Revenge' for the 2600. The fact that he's naked except for boots, neckerchief and a cowboy hat cracks me up.

Especially when there's so much other fine merchandise to be had. Correct me if I'm wrong, but weren't they also sold behind the counter of traditional gaming retail outlets as well?

Ha! too funny. Some of the games, the Mystique titles I believe, even went the extra mile with packaging and added a little lock like you'd find on a child's diary that you'd have to open to add the pretense of security.
