Second memory card file for PSX games

Is it possible to set up a second memory card file so that games will recognize it as a memory card loaded into the second slot? All of the memory cards created for games get generated automatically, and I can't find any options in RetroArch to create a second one for each game. I can't find any information on if it is even possible, and if so, what the filename needs to be.
