      Hello,

      I have a RPi2 , running Retropie 4.0.2, connected using HDMI. Everything is working perfect, except for the sound. No menu clicks, no sound in the emulators. I have tried changing the settings in Audio, as well as forcing the audio to HDMI. Neither does any good.

      So, I have connected to the Pi using my laptop, and edited the config.txt , and removed the # from in front of hdmi_drive=2 . This causes the audio to work perfectly , however causes the picture quality to decrease dramatically. The TV still says resolution is 1360 x 768, as it usually shows , however the Retropie menu has noticeably worse quality (particularly in the background of the Carbon theme, and the red controller outlines).

      I've looked and looked. If anyone can help me find out why "hdmi_drive=2" is affecting my resolution so much, please help. Thanks in Advance.

        Is your television natively 1360x768 or 1366x768?

        You could try adding one of the following two groups of lines to force the resolution and see if things improve.

        set 1 (1360x768 60hz):
        hdmi_group=2
        hdmi_mode=39

        set 2 (1366x768 60hz):
        hdmi_group=2
        hdmi_mode=81

          @Lyle_JP , Thanks for the reply!
          I'll have to wait until tonight to check it out.

          The TV is in fact 1360x768. But I believe I tried group=2, mode=39 last night , after checking some of the resolution modes on Pi's website. I don't believe I tried as high as 81 , though. I'll check it out this evening.
