      I have just finished getting my retropie set up exactly how I want, so made a backup using win32 disk imager; but now when I boot up or reboot I'm getting various loading messages appear in terminal between the retropie splashscreen and the emulationstation loading screen.

      This wasn't happening before I copied the sd card. I guess this info is usually hidden behind the splashscreen. It's not a major problem but a bit annoying since I've spent 2 weeks perfecting everything. It takes about a minute for it all to load.
      Any way of fixing this? I'm using version 4.0.2 on a Pi3 (also tested on a Pi2).

            @demesauce Yes.

            @herb_fargus Thanks, I'll try this when I get a few minutes later on.

            Why would copying the sd card's image cause this to happen? I have applied the image to another sd to test and the text is still there on boot. The last thing I did before backing it up was edit a gameslist.xml file. I rebooted it as normal then shut down and made the copy so I know this text never appeared.

              The problem has resolved itself. Don't know what was happening there.
              The only thing I changed was the wifi setup.
