      Hi,

Not sure this is the correct place to ask, if not please move/delete this post.
Next week I will be in London for a couple of days, there's some store where I an go buyng arcade buttons and stuff?
I'd like to go to a "real" store because I want to try it, especially fr the noise (I want to have less noise as possible).

No idea about a brick-and-mortar store, but I got my controller and buttons from ArcadeworldUK.com
I opted for the silent ones as well:

        • Sanwa JLF-TPRG-8AYT-SK Silent Arcade Joystick
        • Sanwa OBSFS-30 Silent Snap In Arcade Button
These are a nice balance between silent and snappy, not too much dampened to be mushy, but very quiet nonetheless.

If tetris has thought me anything, it's that errors pile up and that accomplishments dissappear.

I would second Zigurana's recommendation of Arcadeworlduk.com, they are very good, will answer any questions, and usually deliver in couple of days.

They also have a loyalty scheme which gives points for referrals and purchases. But I'm not sure if posting a referral link would be frowned upon here?

I've never seen a real-world store selling arcade components, even at the various gaming expos, where there are often people selling pre-built arcade machines and flat-pack cabinet kits, I've never actually seen any vendors of components, unfortunately.

ArcadeworldUK do offer 'silent' buttons and joysticks but mention in the description they are quieter, but still not totally silent. From my experience, replacing all the switches in my existing buttons with the higher quality 'D44X Cherry microswitch' ones made a big difference to the button clicky noise, they feel nicer to use too.

I'm waiting on a new joystick to replace the standard 'Zippyy' one that I have, but it's not arrived yet, so I can't comment on whether that's quieter.
