Hope anyone can shed some light on this issue I'm having - this is my first outing on Ubuntu, have previously setup Retropie on Pi 2/3 systems. I've been picking my brains out trying to get kodi installed with ver 16 - everytime I install this through Retropie on Ubuntu it always installs Kodi 15.2 git and on my Pi 2/3 systems I get ver 16 of kodi - did search but didn't find anyone with similar issue?

Your help would be very appreciated

Found the solution to this by uninstalling it from Retropie and terminal using cmd

        sudo apt-get remove --auto-remove kodi

and than installing latest using the following cmd

        sudo apt-get install software-properties-common
        sudo add-apt-repository ppa:team-xbmc/ppa
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install kodi

everything as it should be now :)
