    Error connecting ps3 controller

      Pi Model: 3 B
      RetroPie Version: 3.7
      Built From: SD Image
      USB Devices connected: PS3 original controller
      Controller Used: PS3 original controller
      Error messages received: An error occurred connecting to the bluetooth device (creating device failed: org.bluez.error.connection attempt failed: page timeout)
      Other information: Its a fresh install (No rooms, no modifications or any other configurations) i just copy the image to the sd card and plug it into the raspberry

      Hi everyone

      Im triyng to connect my ps3 controller by bluetooth but i cant. After I install the "Install/Pair PS3 controller" I tried to configure the bluetooth devices.

      I get a message saying "Please choose the bluetooth device you would like to connect to" so I select the only option avaliable (my ps3 controller)

      then i get another message "Please choose the security mode - Try the first one , then the second if that fails" with two options
      1 DisplayYesNo
      2 KeyboardDisplay

      and no matter wich of them I select, i always get this message error:

      "An error occurred connecting to the bluetooth device (creating device failed: org.bluez.error.connection attempt failed: page timeout)

      what am i doing wrong or can i do to correct the problem?

        Did you try following this guide?

        Some of the options varied when I set mine up on 3.7 [RasPi 3B], but I was able to get it working.

          I too get the same error. I'm assuming the content here is stale since Option 310 is no longer available. https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Setting-up-a-PS3-controller
