      Hi,

      Just upgraded to a RPi3 from a 1 and installed Retropie 3.7.
Kodi isn't recognizing my joypad. After checking the Kodi entry on the wiki I wasn't sure if it is supposed to be automatic or if it HAS to be done with a script.

Also, Kodi is shutting down my tv when I exit it, killing the USB power that is running the Pi. Where do I shut that function off so I can just get back to Retropie?

      Thanks in advance!

Some joysticks are detected and work automatically, others you have to create a keymap .xml file. If your's not deteced automatically, check the wiki on how to create your own keymap, accordingly to your joystick model.

You can change the behaviour of Kodi on exit in System -> System -> Input Devices -> Pheriperals -> CEC

Another thing. It is not recommend that you power the RPi 3 through an USB port of your TV. Use a microUSB power supply of at least 2A.

          Thanks!
I'll have to experiment around with joypads, as the two I tried didn't work. Is there a list of compatible controllers somewhere?

@trantornator This ones works OOTB, they are already included in /usr/share/kodi/system/keymaps/:
            https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/tree/Jarvis/system/keymaps
Some of this keymaps supports many clones, like the XBOX one.

Any other joystick will work if you create a correct keymap.

@Ornitorick Maybe I messed the question, but if you launch Kodi from ES and then do EXIT, it returns back to ES.

@Ornitorick Ah, yes. The default Kodi action when you exit for the Raspberry Pi in a TV which has CEC, is to turn off the TV.
You can change to not turn off the TV where you said in System -> System -> Input Devices -> Pheriperals -> CEC and changed to not turn off the TV.

Also keep in mind that if you have the RPi powered by an USB port of the TV, with the default option, since the TV will be turned off, it will cut the energy to the RPi.
