Retro pi Scrapper

Tthe emulation station scrapper is very slow from gui. Is here a way to run in t from console? Or a faster scrapper

@badboy1985ro
Here you go:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/scraper#steven-selphs-scraper
-
@mediamogul How can i run it, i have installed it using retropi script but what is the actual command line to use it. Does it work with mame
-
@badboy1985ro said in Retro pi Scrapper:
what is the actual command line to use it.
sudo /home/pi/RetroPie-Setup/retropie_setup.sh
The whole process is detailed in that link. It does support Mame as well.
-
i meant how to tun the scrapper from command line
-
@badboy1985ro
I'm not sure I know what you mean by "tun".
Edit:
- If you mean "tune", then you can select the systems you want to scrape, as well as various other options using the instructions in that link.
- If you mean "run", then you can use the command I posted above in conjunction with the full instructions in that link.
-
@mediamogul Run, sorry about that
-
@badboy1985ro there's an option in retropie_setup to use the sselph scraper with no need of command line. As @mediamogul said, the instructions are on the link he has posted.

@meleu There was in the old versions of retropi, with ver 4.0.2 and after updating all the packages, i can't find it

@badboy1985ro
I'm not in front of my setup at the moment, but step number two in the link above says it should be located in the 'Configuration / Tools' menu of the RetroPie Setup. Is it not there?

This also brings up another question. I have many ROMs that I have collected since the mid 90's. Spelling is a problem. For instance, 'Revenge of Shinobi' would be RSHINOBI.SMD or revshin.smd and even have one as R_Shinobi.smd. Then I have my TG16 ROMs as Bommber_Man_97(U)(!)(S).PCE etc...
Is there a program that I can run that can add correct naming of ROMs so that things like 'Scraper' can correctly recognize it? Maybe not but I just wanted to ask. I have way too many ROMs with really messy spelling.
-
@qix77 Sselphs scraper doesn't use the filenames for most platforms. It uses checksums.

One more thing..
"SSscrapper" is great because it is fast and support allot of emulator. How ever.
Using emu station scrapper the pictures are different also i used the same source. "TheGamesDB". With "SScraper" the picture is pixelated while with emu station is ok or other picture. Any idea how to fix this? I have set up "SScaper" to "thegamesdb" but without any result -
@badboy1985ro You can set a maximum image size (in pixels) in the sscraper. The default is 400.
-
already tried that and set the size to 600 or 1024. did not work still getting the same pixelated image
-
@badboy1985ro are all your images pixelated? Or just some systems?
Are you talking about screenshots or box arts?
Are you also sure that the data is coming from ScreenScraper? What does the entry on your gamelist.xml says? -
don;t know witch one i can only see a picture on the right of the game
-
@badboy1985ro what did you say? Sorry, but I don't understand what you wrote.
