I was going to buy a power on off switch for my Pie 3, but then I saw this guide.

      http://www.instructables.com/id/Simple-Raspberry-Pi-Shutdown-Button/?ALLSTEPS

The problem is is that the guide is for the old Pie. Is there such a guide for the Pi 3? I'd really like to have such a script and connect the power on off button on my Playstation to what ever pins I need to in order to make this work.

      Thanks in advance!

@XD3l It should work but I have followed this guide in the past and it works OK. "https://www.element14.com/community/docs/DOC-78055/l/adding-a-shutdown-button-to-the-raspberry-pi-b" It talks about a shutdown only but read the remarks after the guide. It talks about changing the setup to make it a true startup/shutdown button.
