      Hi all,

After installing Retropie on my Raspberry pie 1 I encounterd some issues in the speed of the pie while trying to play for example Mario Kart N64. So I was wondering if this was due to the older version of the Raspberry Pie and if buying the newest Raspberry pie would solve these problems. So what is the best/fastest raspberry pie to run Retropie on?

      Thanks!

N64 is going to struggle, even on a Pi 3. You can get quite a few games N64 playable, but they won't be perfect. I was using a Pi 2 and it worked very well for most systems, though some Super FX chip SNES games would stutter from time to time. I just upgraded to a Pi 3 and now SNES games are near perfect and N64 games are a lot smoother. Not perfect, but MUCH better than what my Pi 2 could handle.

        I'm surprised a Pi 1 could play a N64 game at all.

          On the wiki, it says:
Note that you need a Raspberry Pi 2 if you want any decent N64 performance and even then it is hit and miss.
