C64 Vice not loading games

Hello,
I've re-installed Vice on my Retropie 4.0.3 image as games are not loading and I'm getting the same issue.
I select a game and it just stays on
"Ready
Load "*", 8, 1
Loading from *
Loading"I've tried warp mode, turning on/off true drive emulation etc but all games just stay there.
Is anyone else using Vice on the latest image? I know there are already issues with mapping menu options to buttons which is being looked at.
