After the running the 3.7 image (new install) ScummVM is getting me slow input cursor speed, with some freezes.

It is as if the cursor control is on lower processing priority than the rest of ScummVM. Game speed seems to be alright. It happens both on joypad (generic PS2 style PnP PC USB) and even on PC USB mouse. This slow and freezing cursor makes the experience really annoying. Have tried all of the video modes with no effect.

Anyone else got this, or knows a way around it? Can I downgrade just the ScummVM to a previews version, if it works? Thanks for any "input" on this. :D

      Pi Model: 2 B
      RetroPie Version Used: 3.7
      Built From: SD Image
USB Devices connected: 2 Generic PS2 Style PnP DragonPlus USB controllers, one PC key board, one PC mouse
      Controller used: DragonPlus USB/ mouse
      Emulator: SCUMMVM

        Have you tried analog sticks?

@herb_fargus. Yes. On Both controllers. Even the mouse displays the same slow (as if on extra low ress mouse) and constant freezes. (Move a bit, freeze a bit, move again, freeze again). With one controller or two, analog or digital, mouse or no mouse.

Will try unpluging the controllers after I run ScummVM and try mouse only - and post the results here.

You can try messing with rendering modes:
            https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/ScummVM

There may also be a sensitity setting for the mouse in the configs somewhere

I did. Every single one of them. No improvement.

There may also be a sensitity setting for the mouse in the configs somewhere

Will look for it again, but I don't believe there is one. There is also the freezing of the cursor, not only sensitivity.

Later today I will try a brand new image, no roms, and different input combinations and see if the problem replicates. Will also try to reinstall ScummVM from source, or install an older version as all was well on my previous image. Will post results here.

              Thanks.

I have isolated the issue. It will now only happen with the "PnP DragonPlus USB" controllers. If I plug the mouse before opening the emulator, the mouse control will run smooth.
Did not happen on the previous version of scummVM. But at least now mouse control is ok again.

                Will post any more news.

@ciroreb Any luck figuring this out? I use a 360 wireless controller and have the same problem. Tried plugging a mouse in first, but the controller still lags. Maybe we can get an install on the previous version of ScummVM as an option on a later build?
