Apologies in advance for raising a topic on keyboard mapping for uae4arm on retropie. I know there are posts on here but I'm not sure if there is a solution. I am using the latest versions of both retropie and uae4arm (installed late September 2016) but I don't have the version numbers to hand.

I've got to say I love both of these applications and have got both to work brilliantly but what would make uae4arm perfect for me would be if I could remap some keyboard buttons to the joypad. There is an input function to do this on uae4arm but apart from switching the gui menu from f12 to left alt (for my cheap bluetooth keyboard which doesn't have f12) I cannot remap anything else. E.g. I would love to configure it so I could assign the following for certain games to a different button on my controller:

      Space
      Return
Up (to press a button to jump instead of pushing up on dead)
And any function or numerical keys etcthat some games require.

Is this a known issue on retropie that the config doesn't work or are there any workarounds?

      Any help is appreciated. Thanks

We are quite a lot here grumbling about this.

Uae4arm and Hatari cannot map their emulator actions to pad.

Very frustrating to have to use keyboard and mouse just to exit a game! :(

We desperately need a hero to create libretro cores those 2 emulators :) (there is a libretro Hatari but since it is not in the RetroPie packages, I do not know how to install it)

@Pyjamarama thanks for confirming that. I thought it may have been an oversight on my behalf as the option appears to be there to remap. It woupdate be cool if this could be configured but I'm a bit of a noob ands wouldn't know where to start.
