DragonRise USB controllers - only one detected at a time
-
Hi there.
I picked up some joysticks, buttons, and DragonRise USB controller boards off Amazon. They look fantastic and work great on my arcade system.
Here's the problem:
I have two players, so I have two boards. Each players' buttons are plugged into their respective board. If I plug BOARD A into the Pi, RPie and EmulationStation detect the device. If I unplug BOARD A and plugin BOARD B, then it also works. However, if I plug BOTH controllers in, only one of them is detected.
The output of
lsbusb
is as follows:Bus 001 Device 004: ID 0079:0006 DragonRise Inc. Generic USB Joystick Bus 001 Device 003: ID 0424:ec00 Standard Microsystems Corp. SMSC9512/9514 Fast Ethernet Adapter Bus 001 Device 002: ID 0424:9514 Standard Microsystems Corp. Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
I should see a second
DragonRise Inc. Generic USB Joystick
in there, but I don't. I also only see /dev/input/j0 and not a /dev/input/j1.My google-fu has failed me, since most people seem to have problems with key mapping, not with getting the dang thing recognized by the OS.
Model: Raspberry PI 2
OS: RetroPie (4.1)
Devices: two DragonRise USB Inc. Generic JoystickAny ideas?

I have the exact same problem. Did you ever get this to work?
