Sound in Beebem
-
Hi, is anybody able to get sound running in Beebem?
Sound works fine if it's run through the X desktop, but it doesn't seem to work when launched through emulationstation.
Occasionally I can get it to emit a split second of buffered sound by changing the sample rate in the menu but there doesn't seem to be a way to repeat this process, it appears random. Changing the various settings doesn't appear to do much.
I've tried changing the ownership of beebem between root and Pi but that doesn't seem to help.
No other emulators running through emulationstation have sound issues. Funnily enough, sound did work correctly on a previous version of retropie but I can't remember which (maybe 2.6 or 3.2)
Anyone have any better luck? I've tried the build on the haprpi blog and the build in the experimental emulators in zerojay's repo.

Official Info to be tested:
Sound Menu:Sound On/Off - Switch sound on or off.
Sound Chip - Switches the sound chip on or off. Useful when you want
to hear the cassette sounds.Sound Effects - Switches on the sound of the cassette motor and the
sound of tape software loading.44.1 kHz - Sets the sound sample rate. The higher it is the better
22.05 kHz the sound quality but the slower BeebEm runs.
11.025 kHzFull Volume - Set the sound volume.
High Volume
Medium Volume
Low VolumeUse Primary Buffer - Grabs exclusive use of your sound card so any other
applications playing music will stop. May make BeebEm
run faster.Part Samples - Smooths sound sampling. Using part samples usually
sounds better.
