8bitdo zero iOS compatibility issues?
-
I've gotten my 8bitdo zero controller to work with the provenance emulator on my unuailbroken iPad Pro with iOS 10. The problem is that the A and B buttons in game register to different buttons on the controller. Half the time they register on the L and R bumpers on the controller, the other half the B BUTTON on controller functions as the A button in game and vice verse with the A BUTTON on the controller and b function in game, then the other half it's the X and A buttons on controller function as B and A in game. It's very frustrating. Any solutions?

@rasnowman Does it work OK with RetroPie?

Ah crap I thought this was just a forum to help with retro type games I'm so sorry if this is a forum for some emulator called retro pie
Edit: 8bitdo forums are unresponsive to my question, does anyone know anywhere I might get an answer to this question, again I apologize.

Similar problem I'm having with the same controller, I posted on the Provenance GitHub but no reply yet:

I've nailed it down to figuring out it's a provenience issue because the 8bitdo zero works fine with happy chick. Unfortunately I can't get the tecmo bowl updated rosters on happy chick and I can't figure out how to get roms onto snesemu so I'm stuck trying to figure out how to fix provenience.

Are you talking about two different iOS devices here? -since you said your iPad isn't jailbroken in your initial post? And I thought Happy Chick only runs on jailbroken devices... That GitHub I linked to shows which file needs to be changed to switch the key mapping...since my phone isn't jailbroken I have no access to the file system to edit that config file....so I may be out of luck.
