@e-neuling if you can install ubuntu and its an x86 machine you should be able to get it to work but as you didn't post any useful details of your system its hard to know.

Hi. Ist a Kontron JX1 with an Geode 300mhz Cpu and 256mb of SD-Ram
I found a Software called lakka and this is not a frontend like i understand that
ist an small Linux os and this is that what i want with the pi software -
@e-neuling lakka has better support for random boards but less systems. Looks like your board has even less specs than the raspberry pi. The raspberry pi is the most supported board, but if you know what you're doing you can probably get it working on your board if you can get Ubuntu on it. Otherwise you may be better off with lakka

Hello. I kicked the Kontron board away. i found an itx mini board in my stuff.
there is a 1 ghz cpu on it i put 512 md DDR ram on it but lakka Fails to start
(i think the vga is the reason) i could buy a pci nvidia or ati grafik Card
but i dont wont to investigate Money in this projekt.
i installed Windows xp on this machine and it runs fine.
i think i try to install Emulation Station. but this is not the whole Thing that
i wanted. i readed that Debian is installable on a usb stick and my question
is: starts it faster than Windows xp home? and can i pu emualtion Station
as an autorun like Windows?
