      Hey all,

Absolutely no idea how to do this, but was wondering how I could get the left joystick to function as a d-pad for these emulators in RetroPie 4.1. The My Boy! on android for GBA is completely plug-n-play with the joysticks working flawlessly on MK Super Circuit and I'm trying to replicate that functionality on the big screen.

      Thanks,

      X

@XAGMNINETY Open retroarch, (if you are inside a game press F1 or Select+X ) and go to menu>settings>input>player 1 bindings.

Then user 1 device type= retropad w/analog and just the next option user 1 analog to digital type= left analog. Then do the same for any players you want.

        That's all. Regards.

unfortunately, this does not work. I tried a variant of this before actually because I wanted to see if retroarch properly recognized the 8bitdo (without trying to set the left analog.)

User 1 device type is Retropad w/analog, and (now) analog to digital is set at left analog. The device index properly recognizes the 8bitdo NES30 Pro. However, MK Super Circuit in lr-vba-next is still unresponsive with the left joystick, as before.

          Any other ideas?

fixed. It is specific to the emulator itself and not the general retroarch settings in the Retropie menu. Thanks a lot man.

@XAGMNINETY I'm glad too see that you finally solved. Can you say what's the emulator? maybe the info can help somebody else.

I use bsnes for snes and i don't have that problem.
