BT controller battery saving feature?

I've been using the ps3 controller for awhile and loved the fact that in 3.8 the BT would kill after 10 mins if not in use to save battery life. I recently have setup a ps4 controller in 4.1 , however i notice it doesn't turn off even when not in use. Is this feature available for other non ps3 controllers?
