High temperature during scrapping?
-
Hi guys,
dont know if this is the forum for it, but I got the temperature icon during some scrapping of roms. I checked the temp manually and it had 81 degree. Is that normal behavior or is my PI3 malfunctional? PI is not overclocked and just in a small closed case. ALso no heatsinks are attached.
Pi Model: 3 Model B
RetroPie Version Used: retropie-4.1-rpi2_rpi3.img
Built From: Pre made SD Image on RetroPie website
USB Devices connected: Keyboard + Controller
How to replicate the problem: Scrap some roms -
@daeks Which scraper ?
It's normal for the RPI3 to get hot when under load. Recommend you get some heatsinks for it or a better case (EG flirc case which acts as a heatsink).
Also assume you haven't overclocked or anything ?

I used the the internal scraper from the menu.
No, I havent changed anything. Just bought a fresh PI3 and installed the premade SD image without any further tuning/overclocking.
Thx for your feedback. It's a normal black closed plastic case (Rydges Pro Case). I will put some heatsinks on it and watch the temperature more closely.
