I've been using Retropie for a little over a year now, and I just wanted to put a public thank-you out there to Floob for his fantastic Video Manager script.

I'm a huge fan of trying to recreate the CRT experience when emulating older systems, and I think that Floob's video manager presets are pretty much perfect. The only modification that I made to them is enabling video smoothing since it's no longer the default in the more recent Retropie builds. The script features pretty much the best overlays around, IMO, and they are perfectly sized to accommodate the integer-scaled Retroarch render area for all of the major systems.

The combination of the "Retrostation" TV overlay with its built-in scanlines and tastefully selected shaders for the Libretro cores that benefit from them results in what I feel is pretty much the perfect replication of the CRT experience on modern displays.

So, yeah. That's all I wanted to say. Thanks to Floob, and maybe a few people might stumble upon his tool via this thread as a bonus.

Here's a pic I snapped of my living room TV running Super Mario World with the Video Manager presets applied. Perfection.
