I set up my first pi and its working great I can see it on the network and I can access it drag and drop files over no problem. its a 3 , I got another one for the kids playroom I loaded the card that I made for the fist one. it works fine but it does not come up in the network. windows 10,on multiple computers they all show the first one but not the second one.. do I have to rename the second one to \RETROPIE2 or something.. cant seem to find my answer... thank you.

Yeah, you need to change the hostname of one of these - I assume they are using DHCP at home so the IP address (notionally) wont be a problem. Changing the hostname is easy :

        1. Go into the Raspi-Config from the setup options
        2. In advanced options, select change hostname

        Cheers

You will need to rename it. you are going to have to machines with the same name and 2 different DNS entries in your local DNS which is going to cause issues. Here is a link on how to change the hostname:

@sk8ersublime If the chaps not sure about how to change a hostname on the network its very unlikely he is running a DNS server at home mate :)

@Lamaman1971 yea obviously lol. I meant their local network cache. It's still going to look for the name retropie and that's going to point to that old IP. I'm at work too much :/
