Is it possible to play Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and 4 MAME versions?

Is it possible to play the arcade versions of UMK3 and MK 4 on a pie 3? I downloaded them and left them as zip files. I put them in Arcade, Mame4all, and Libreto. They display, but the screen goes black and then back to the MAME menu.
