      Greetings everyone!
New to the forums, but I've been dabbling with RetroPie for the past couple of months.

One thing that has stumped me is that I can never get the 2 player version of the Simpsons MAME rom to work. It either takes me straight back to Emulation Station on startup, or gives me an error saying specific rom files were not found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

      Thanks!

2 player Simpsons is a clone of the 4 player version so you will need to have the 4 player rom in the same folder as the 2 player version for it to run.

If you don't want the 4 player version, then you can merge the romsets. For one romset, it can be done manually in a matter of minutes but if you have many, then you will need to use clrmamepro. Instructions how to do this are given in the wiki links provided by @BuZz .

If you want to know to merge a single clone romset with its parent, then let me know.

            Thanks for your help!
            Clrmamepro worked like a charm.
