I have a custom USB joystick that uses the Akishop Customs PS-360 v1.61 board. The issue I have is that when navigating in Emulation Station, I get significant auto-fire on the left/right/top/down axis from the joystick. It is present for both Player 1 and Player 2, although it is inexplicable worse for Player 1. Once I get into the emulators or other non-Emulation Station screens, the joysticks work fine...it only appears to be an Emulation Station issue. I've summarized my system configuration below, but this has consistently been an issue for me with every version of Retropie 3.x and 4.x for over a year, on both the RP2 and RP3. Any advice would be most appreciated; thanks in advance!

      Pi Model: RP3
      RetroPie Version Used: RetroPie 4.1
Built From: Pre-Made 4.0.2 SD Image and then updated via RetroPie script to latest version (including all OS components)
USB Devices connected: Two USB-hubs with button-selectable USB ports, USB soundcard (issue is present with none of these items connected)
Controller used: Custom USB joystick that uses the Akishop Customs PS-360 v1.61 board
      Error messages received: None

@emissary the ximo arcade adapters had the same issue. I forget how they fixed it. Might be worth looking into that to see if it is something you can do on your controls
