Hello, I'm new to the forum. I've been using RetroPie for about 6 months now, and loving it.

Other than this minor issue, it's rock solid and stable!

Where do I put the MAME samples for mame4all? I am running RP 3.6.

I've tried putting them in the roms folder which works somewhat, some of the sounds play, others do not. I dropped them into the mame4all emulator folder, but that doesn't work at all.

I'm testing with GORF, Astro-Blaster, Rally-X, Wizard of War

      Keep up the great work!

      Thank you in advance.

      JR

To my knowledge the files needs to be put in "roms/mame-mame4all/samples" folder

Systems: Raspberry Pi 0/2/3 Model B+
        Os: RetroPie 4.5
        Frontend: Emulationstation & Attract Mode

tried that, it works there, but is missing some of the sounds for the games.

          mostly the voice sounds

So you might be missing some of the sounds?

You most likely have the wrong sample. Gorf seems to have a few, You can find them here

then again, I guess I have to factor in that this is a very old version of MAME... so maybe my roms are wrong, or the samples are incomplete.

Did you try and replace you samples with the link I gave you in the last post?
Here it is again, the Current Samples for all the roms you listed

Yup, that was it... wrong ROMset. I didn't realize this is MAME version from 2000... but it works great now.

                    Thanks for the help.
