MAME2003 is suddenly janking up my resolution!
-
I'm running Retropie 4.02 on a Pi3 and I have been using FinalBurn, MAME2003, and MAME2010 for emulating arcade games (via the "arcade" directory). Up until now I've had no problems with any of them. But as of a couple days ago, MAME2003 is suddenly messing up my game resolution. Everything in FinalBurn and MAME2010 will look fine but then as soon as I run a game with MAME2003, the screen resolution will get all weird looking. The yellow system messages at the bottom of the screen get really large and and the game screen looks messy, like text is hard to read with pieces of the letters missing. If I go into the TAB menu it is nearly unreadable. The sound also seems to quit working. THEN, if I try to run a game with FBA or 2010, I have the same problem. The only way I can fix it is by recopying over a backup of the retroarch.cfg. Then everything is right again...until I try to run MAME2003 and it all happens again.
The only thing I've done recently is upload ROMs so I'm not sure what could have made it suddenly start doing this. I've compared multiple .cfg files and then one difference I can find is this:
In my backup retorarch.cfg (as well as others like the neogeo one) there are the lines:
video_fullscreen_x = "0"
video_fullscreen_y = "0"After I copy that file to the arcade folder and then run MAME2003, the lines look like this:
video_fullscreen_x = "320"
video_fullscreen_y = "240"No matter what how many times I change the values back to "0" MAME2003 seems to keep altering them. Also, this only affects the cores associated with "arcade" The games in "neogeo" (which also use FBA) are unaffected.
Any thoughts? I can provide more info if needed.
Thanks so much!

Well if anyone is interested, I figured out what was wrong.
Somehow, something caused a file to be created in the configs/all folder called "videoresolutions.cfg" (or something to that effect, I forget the exact name) and it was telling Mame2003 to force a resolution of 320x240. I deleted the file and everything is fine again.
