megadrive per game controller config?

Hi,
I'm building a cocktail arcade and I really want to get micro machines working for 2 player. The issue is, I need to invert player 2's controls, but I only want to do it for this one game, is this possible? I've been doing this in MAME, but couldn't see how to do it in the megadrive emulator.
