I have been playing around with a pi3 B for a few weeks and ended up setting it up for retro pie a few days ago. I have been playing mostly SNES and Genesis games, but after a recent upgrade I noticed the \rasberrypie directory had a place for BIOS and such and thought I would try my hand at playing PSP games. I have tried Bomberman, Patampon, 1, and 3, and Little Big Planet. As soon as the game loads, I get crashed back to the game selection in Emulation Station. I am able to get far enough in the game that I can install or enter user names and select menu items, but once it goes into what I think is a more graphically heavy portion, poof... back to select.
I have not done anything with BIOS, etc because it seems to be done for me after a recent update, but maybe I am wrong? Any help would be appreciated.

I have a Rasberry Pie3 B with starter kit from cana kit and the 2.5a power cord, and outputting HDMI to a larger TV, and using a logitech style usb controller. The OS and roms are running on a 64GB micro SD. I just updated all of the emulators and retropie from source a couple days ago.

      Thank you,

i had the same problem i downloaded the 4.1 image and the psp stuff worked fine. then when i did 'update the installed packages' it broke the psp stuff, the game would load but it always crashed at the point it would be creating the save file for the psp game. my work around was to reinstall the 4.1 image and not update it.

After updating to latest today, Patapon 2 and 3 are no longer working properly. All videos are hidden "behind" a black screen (you can see some movement at the edges, looks like the graphics buffer is not getting alpha'd properly), framerate is not 60fps, and audio is glitchy/static. I also installed lr-ppspp from source and it behaves the same.

I verified this is a problem only with latest by doing the following:

Clean image of 4.1, loaded Patapon 3, verified working.
Update all packages, restart, load Patapon 3. Shows problems as described above.

P.S. Sorry about the cross posting from another thread. This thread seems more relevant.

@Sharkus Please open a new thread and detail your set-up as described in https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/3/read-this-first (Since the issue in this thread as been resolved, but it looks like the new version may have an issue on whatever you are running it on)

@BuZz Yep, things are working properly now. If I see any future problems I'll open a new thread. Thanks!
