      Hi all,
Sorry for the false start in a previous thread. First things first, here's my details:

      Pi Model: Pi3
      Power Supply: 100-240v, 50/60hz, 5.2V 2500mA, Model: GFJ-052-250
      RetroPie Version Used: 4.01
      Built From: purchased from RetroGamingConsoles
      USB Devices connected: PS4 Dualshock
      Controller used: PS4 Dualshock
      Error messages received: Permission Denied
      Guide used: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/Doom
      Emulator: prboom
How to replicate the problem: See below

I am having a spot of trouble getting Doom, Doom II, and the Final Doom Wad files to run on my Pie. My Pie already came with prboom installed and can run the shareware version as well as Quake without any issues. As for configuring my own files, I have done the following:

      1. placed all wad files in the retropie/ports/doom folder.
      2. created .sh script files for each and swapping the .wad titles for each game as needed
      3. placed these .sh script files in the main ports folder.

Each game shows up in its proper place under Ports, but when I try to run them, I am hit with a Permission Denied error and I flash back to the main screen.

Here's a copy of my code for perusal:

      #!/bin/bash
      /opt/retropie/supplementary/runcommand/runcommand.sh 0 "/opt/retropie/emulators/retroarch/bin/retroarch -L /opt/retropie/libretrocores/lr-prboom/prboom_libretro.so --config /opt/retropie/configs/ports/doom/retroarch.cfg /home/pi/RetroPie/roms/ports/doom/Doom2.wad" "lr-prboom"

I vaguely understand that I need to run an additional script, including a sudo command to unlock the appropriate permission (chmodx, etc.). That said, I use a Mac Air, with no USB keyboard to plug into my Pie, and I was curious to see how I can get this sudo script to run via my PS4 controller. I have no problem creating/transferring over any additional scripts via USB, but curious if there's a way around having to source a USB keyboard to do this, and if so, how would I go about doing this in a very step-by-step manner?

Thanks for any and all help!

@frankieteardrop There is no retropie-setup version 4.01 btw. Do you mean 4.1 or 4.0.1 ?

You say it came pre-installed - where did you get it from? Doom is not pre-installed on our images from v4.

Aah you bought it - you should go back to them for support then sorry - RetroPie images should not be sold (Or start from one of our supported images, and I will help).

@BuZz Sorry, definitely meant 4.1. Running on very little sleep after spinning my wheels on this last night! As for purchasing, I purchased the entire Pie unit from eBay via Retrogamingconsole, which had everything configured as part of the deal, which is how Shareware Doom is up and running with no issues. All I needed to do was to load the roms, naturally.

I've made a support ticket there, but figured if it's a matter of running a script, someone here might know if I'm missing something simple?

@frankieteardrop yes, but the point is, if everyone can just go and buy RetroPie from someone who is cashing in on others work, and just come back here to get support, we are then actively supporting them. Also that image may have changes I don't know about, so fixes I give you may not work.

I don't want to support people who are selling RetroPie.

If they want to go against the licences of the software we include and sell it, they can support it themselves.

I recommend you start from a RetroPie image downloaded from this site.
