So i followed Floob's video link here:

I get confused at 13:59 when he refreshes and the text with the command "ls -lah" and the text turns blue. I have all the stuff downloaded (BIOS, reicast, games, etc.) I don't know what to do mainly because I've followed step by step and nothing is working (plus im not fluent in linux). Am i using a good file for the BIOS? I downloaded my BIOS from redacted READ THE FORUM RULES! and had to rename some files i believe were the dc_boot.bin and dc_flash.bin. I'm just about to give up and download other games that are simpler such as snes and genesis which I had no problem with nes just followed a simple video that worked quickly.
      SOME IMPORTANT NOTES:
-I'm saving my roms on a usb drive because the micro sd cant fit the retropi os and roms at the same time. I was wondering that since i am sing a usb drive for the games AND a micro sd for the os, thats the reason its not working. (bios is on micro sd too)
      Thank You!

If you want to run the games from USB you need to edit some settings. I think you didn't do that and thats the reason why it doesn't work. How large is your SD card?
