Top requested arcade games for overlays

That image is low res and, after some research, It seems that is custom side art and NOT the original arcade side art.
Aww man, that was really cool art (IMO), oh well, I am sure you will make a quality bezel. I may try my own hand at that graphic I posted. I am working on a Street Fighter II CE bezel (maybe both integer and non-integer). This is ADDICTING!
-
@greenhawk84 That graphics is cool sure; the point is unfortunately for 1080p the res is too low (on the display it would look unsharp if stretched).
Sure I confirm making overlays is addictive ;-)
Not only the actual making but also the searching on the web... some images are so rare.. it's like treasure hunting... hours of searching and checking forums.
In a few cases as no quality images existed I asked owners of real cabs to kindly take pictures of 'em (that was the case of Depth Charge and In the End). -

@udb23 So I created my first bezel and I guess I created a repository? I have no idea what to do. So I tried to upload my .PNG file?
https://github.com/Greenhawk84/bezels
The file is too big for the forum to preview here.

Well done !
If you'd like your bezels to be included in those that @melu's script can automatically install you need to provide the related cfg and info.txt files.Edit: typo in the link fixed

@udb23 more info about info (?!) here: https://github.com/meleu/rpie-art/blob/master/INFO.md

For images too big to be uploaded You can use the "image" icon in the post editor and link the "download" page of your image from github.
Like this:

@udb23 I have the .cfg files available, do I just upload those separately or how do I "bundle" them so its properly accessible?
I hope everyone enjoys this bezel. I can already see some super easy tweaks I can make (I'm anal). I'll re-release it when I get a chance later.

Anyone care to take a stab at Puckman (original Japanese Pac-Man)?
After long search I got some original Namco Puck-Man artwork to work on...

You should create folders on Github "per system" and place overlay image, CFG files and info.txt (structured as shown in the link @meleu posted) in a single "game name" folder.
Example: here. -
@udb23 so what artwork is this Puckman?
I really like the "Exciting" on the top of the bezel!

I am not sure how to do Folders in Github but I agree.

For some reason GitHub doesn't allow you to have empty subfolders so you have to do a little trickery...just watch this video:

First thanks for the request of making Puckman's bezel; searching for quality artwort for it I found out many versions were/are available.
I already of course knew it is the original game and why out of Japan it was called PacMan
:-D
Game is the same but multiple cabinets with similar, but different, artwork were made for Puckman (being of course different from PacMan cabs too).
Different marquees, sideart, bezel and Control panel.
The original cab, on display at Namco's HQ, is the one I posted.
As an example for marquees:
original"your" posted image cab's
Another version.
More info here.
The original cab, on display at Namco's HQ, is the one I posted.
I now have collected some decent resolution pictures of the cab, original flyer and vector images (even if not fully "precise") from different sources.
I will create vector versions of all the cab's artwork, sticking as much as possible to the real thing, including correct colors.
The most challenging part being the marquee as I only found a slanted and not so much detailed photo of it.
But that's the fun part: no "real" detailed vector of the Bezel and Marquee seem to exits... so far ;-) -
@greenhawk84 ... and as you like the bezel you posted so much... I'll make that overlay too ;-)
-
@udb23 Exciting!!
My next target is Street Fighter 2 World Warriors. I want to be able to select the different versions and have different artwork for each.
-
Puckman overlay done (it took hours but quite happy with the result).
More info and download here. -
I uploaded the .cfg files to my repository. Can someone see if all is well?
-
OK guys here is my Street Fighter 2: Hyper Fighting variant bezel.
