FYI, the xml file created makes the assumption that your images are in "*.png" format. This is easy to change using for example Notepad ++ and replacing .png to .jpeg if they are in jpeg that is.

Haha, I still use my xml batch file. Lemme know if you have any problems with it. :D

Well it works they way it should and the only problem I see is the image file extension is limited to png only.
Kids Friendly ES did also have no problem at all using it and making changes to it.
Took along time to load though when I added C64 with over 7000 games lol.

Yeah, EmulationStation wasn't built with massive pirated rom-lists in mind. It's more suited for tailored collections. Once you get over 500 scraped games, it takes ES a long time to load. Hopefully you can easily edit the batch file to deal with whatever image extension you are needing. I am not a programmer, so that batch file is about the extent of my programming abilities. Need art? I can do that. :P

In case anyone runs across this in their searches, I have a newer XML maker. Still windows-based: https://retropie.org.uk/forum/topic/4471/updated-gamelist-xml-creator
