I'm running retropie 4.1.8 on my pi3 and having some serious issues with FF8. I set it all up specifically to play the old school final fantasy games. I started playing FF8 and it's much more pixelated than I remember. I took it for granted for a while figuring my nostalgia built up the game more in my head but having now looked at lets play videos online it seems there's a distinct difference between my graphics and the actual gameplay graphics. How can mine look so bad?
Are there some optimisation settings I don't know about to make the game look better?
Furthermore, is there anything I can do to make it load up from emulationstation any quicker?

In the interest of continuity, these questions were answered by @lostless in your other thread.

When you played them back in the days you played them on a normal TV, which has a lower resolution compared to the TV you're playing them on now.
