      @backstander sweet! I think I'm gonna buy a wifi dongle at Best Buy tonight since I'm too inpatient to wait for one to arrive in the mail. Is there anything I need to setup for that besides connecting to the wifi?

        @BennySpaceCore
        I've never tried using a WiFi dongle but make sure it's compatible with the Raspberry Pi:
        http://elinux.org/RPi_USB_Wi-Fi_Adapters

        Maybe print out that list and give it to the Best Buy employee to see if they can find one on that list lol.

        Once it's working, there's an easy menu in RetroPie to connect to wireless networks.

            @backstander went to 3 different places, none had anything compatible. So it's ether I just order one offline or are you willing to spend some more time and probably get frustrated in the process, I'm okay with ether, your time, your choice.

              I'd say order one online and I'll try to help you in the meantime

              Now after you've got your USB drive in your Pi, type this to see what's mounted and where:
              df -aTh

              Let me know what it says.

                  @BennySpaceCore Your USB stick is not mounted. It should show up at the bottom under /boot.

                        @backstander so I mounted my USB, I can open up a list of things on it yet it still won't copy the splash screen, haven't tried the loading screen yet but here's my screen

                          @backstander I just tried installing the loading screen launch file, pretty sure it worked, tried to do the splash screen once more and it says

                          cp: target /retropie/splashscreens is not a directory

                          Same goes if I capitalize the "R" and the "P"

                            File names and directory names are case sensitive so it has to be "RetroPie"

                            Also make sure you're using the Tilde key like at the beginning of ~/RetroPie/splashscreens/

                            Type this to copy over the video splashscreen:
                            cp /media/sda1/retropiepixelsplash.mp4 ~/RetroPie/splashscreens/

                                  To enable your video splashscreen:
                                  RetroPie -> Splash Screens -> Choose splashscreen -> Own/Extra splashscreens (from /home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens) -> retropiepixelsplash.mp4
                                  https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/splashscreen

                                  To use the Pixel Theme for EmulationStation:
                                  Start button on your controller -> UI Settings -> Theme Set -> Pixel
                                  After this change you'll probably need to either restart EmulationStation (or your Raspberry Pi)
                                  https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/themes

                                  The Pixel Runcommand System Splashscreen should already be working and when you run a game it should show a picture like these for about 2 seconds:

                                        Try this variant:
                                        cp /media/sda1/retropiepixelsplash.mp4 /home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens/
