Accidentally uninstalled default theme on Pi Zero
-
@columboscoat is there a command that mounts it?
-
-
@backstander so I mounted my USB, I can open up a list of things on it yet it still won't copy the splash screen, haven't tried the loading screen yet but here's my screen
-
@backstander I just tried installing the loading screen launch file, pretty sure it worked, tried to do the splash screen once more and it says
cp: target /retropie/splashscreens is not a directory
Same goes if I capitalize the "R" and the "P"

@BennySpaceCore
File names and directory names are case sensitive so it has to be "RetroPie"Also make sure you're using the Tilde key like at the beginning of
~/RetroPie/splashscreens/
Type this to copy over the video splashscreen:
cp /media/sda1/retropiepixelsplash.mp4 ~/RetroPie/splashscreens/
-
@backstander alright I think I copied it to the folder, where can I find it in the splash screen menu?
-
@backstander when i go into the menu i cant find the theme
-
@BennySpaceCore
To enable your video splashscreen:
RetroPie -> Splash Screens -> Choose splashscreen -> Own/Extra splashscreens (from /home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens) -> retropiepixelsplash.mp4
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/splashscreenTo use the Pixel Theme for EmulationStation:
Start button on your controller -> UI Settings -> Theme Set -> Pixel
After this change you'll probably need to either restart EmulationStation (or your Raspberry Pi)
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/themesThe Pixel Runcommand System Splashscreen should already be working and when you run a game it should show a picture like these for about 2 seconds:

@backstander sorry I ment splash screen, I'll try it again when I'm home
-
@backstander alright now im getting this.
-
@BennySpaceCore
Try this variant:
cp /media/sda1/retropiepixelsplash.mp4 /home/pi/RetroPie/splashscreens/
-
@backstander Worked like a charm, thank you so much, if I ever need help, ill be sure to ask you since you seem to know what your doing.
