PD: I would like to credit Burbur from blendswap for the awesome model, and Bill Bertram for the photo used in the texture, they made my work really easier. -
@tronkyfran I love your images, but where the space bar on the TRS-80?
-
@tronkyfran they all look good, did the daphne image not work?
-
Omg, the space bar!!! xD I just dont know how that happened, Ill fix that today. There are more key related mistakes but that is really big.
I think the problem with daphne is a permission one, Ill upload on a different place. -

There are some keyboard errors, I coudnt find the correct font. In fact its a recurrent problem I face nearly everytime I model a system before 90s. If some graphic designer could point a way(or a place) to find these fonts it would be nice!! :)

Not exactly what you wanted, but it might lead to something. . . here's a link to a post over on the Mechanical Keyboards forum where there was some discussion of fonts. Many listed are current manufacturers, but enthusiasts often try to model designs after older examples so perhaps there is some overlap with fonts.

Thanks a lot, I will take a look!!!

ZX Spectrum +2, two versions

I'm going to start uploading my 3d models in .obj (for those linux and blender fans) and .max format., including all lightning and shaders. Well, maybe someone will play with it or get some new renders ;)
First one:
ZX_spectrum+2.OBJ:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwdzHtv3rOY1Z01pUlczcEtCOGc
.MAX:
https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BwdzHtv3rOY1eTZyb1FKYUpyTjg
Maybe google drive is not the better place to share it. Some suggestion about it?
-
@tronkyfran you could always host them on a github repository
-
-
@tronkyfran sure, You also don't necessarily have to zip them if you don't want to, you can just put them in their own folders. Either way . Just depends on your personal preference. I'm sure this will be a great resource for others to have the 3d model files. I need to update the theme with your latest images. I've been slacking.
-
Ok, almost all the systems are uploaded to the github repository, in .max format. Take in account that its practically a dump of my work, so dont except it to be ordered and tidy.
Obj will take more time, I have to do it manually, but it will come.If anyone is interested, they are in .max format(3dsmax 2016) and renderer in Corona Render. If you need to extract a model or test it before I convert the models to obj you can always download a trial of 3dsmax and an older version of corona renderer( prior to 1.0 they were free).
Im almost sure that some textures are missing too, so if anybody need them, tell me and I will take a look.PD: I think that neogeo pocket and playstation 1 are missing, I need to take a look at that.
PD2: If you dont get the same look as me after the render, take in account that I heavily photoshop all the renders, if you need the .psd I can provide it, but they are too heavy(>25MB) than github can hold, so ask for it. -
@tronkyfran I recently updated this theme and I still don't have a formatted "arcade" section. I could have sworn you did an image for arcade. Am I remembering it wrong, or is there still some theme work yet to be done?
I just love these images. Sadly, I only have a short list of them setup on my cabinet!
-
Mmmmm, I think that arcade is not done.I did Mame and Final Buen but thats it. Maybe this week we'll have it, its muy first request!!! :D
-
@tronkyfran Really great work with these images, thanks !
Any chance to get also Vic20 ? -
Sure, youll get that vic20, its very similar to c64.
@caver01 You've got the chance to choose, what Arcade Cabinet would you like to appear on "Arcade"???
-
@tronkyfran Well, if I had to choose I might pick Joust, as that was always my go-to game as a kid. It's also a fairly typical cabinet shape. Besides my personal choice, I would think it should be a classic stand-up game, like PacMan, Donkey Kong, etc.
