8bitsnes30 with reicast

I've done a lot of reading and am so close to being able to play Mortal Kombat Gold on reicast. I have all the buttons mapped correctly on my 8bitdo snes 30 controller. The problem is mortal kombat gold uses the analog stick to control the character and obviously my controller doesn't have a analog stick. Is there any way to map the dpad to work as the analog instead? Please see attached picture to of current controller........cfg file. Again all buttons are functioning in reicast except analog. Thanks for your help I've been reading the forums for a while but never posted.
