Kodi as a standalone.
-
Using Raspberry 3B.
With Retropie 4.1.12
Updated everything (scripts, packages) today.
Installed Kodi.I used this website to make Kodi as a standalone menu:
https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/KODI
I still have Ports and when i pick Kodi in main menu it jumps into Ports
where KODI still exists and I have to choose that to open Kodi. This seems wrong.

@Retro666 If you have Kodi as a standalone system, you will still need to enter it to launch. You can manually remove the
Kodi.sh
launch script from ports by removing it fromroms/ports

Hi
Awesome fast respond.
I have Kodi as a standalone item next to "RetroPie" and "Ports" but when I select that "A"
it acts like a shortcut sending me into the "Ports" menu where I have to choose KODI again to open it. -
@Retro666 yes. That is how all the systems work. You select the system which takes you to a gamelist which you select to launch.

I see
What happens if I remove Kodi.sh from roms/ports?
Please tell me what to wright in comm prompt (Linux and Retropie is so new to me, like 2 days)
P.S. I have read as much as humanly possible about Retropie but I have never been a clever man.

Thank you.
Learning something every day.

@Retro666 you need to learn C++ and recode emulationstation to accomplish what you are trying to do.
