      Controller used:
      Error messages received: none
Log found in /dev/shm/runcommand.log (if relevant): don't know where to look
      Guide used: https://github.com/retropie/retropie-setup/wiki/RetroPie-Ubuntu-16.04-LTS-x86-Flavor
Attachment of config files: Don't know which to attach

I have used Retropie on a Raspberry pi for a couple months now and I'm feeling pretty comfortable with it. I decided I wanted to play around with my setup without breaking my living room pi build so I decided to try the x86 method I've read about on an old laptop. I have it up and running (including the samba shares). The only problem is that I can't access them from my Windows desktop.

I don't know Ubuntu very well at all but I found a command to see the active shares and it doesn't have any listed: sudo smbstatus --shares

What am I missing to get my shares active so I can transfer my roms and configs over?
